Why We Recommend Lightwave
One of the main reasons we recommend Lightwave is that many of its products are designed to work with standard UK electrical wiring.
This means smart lighting and power control can often be retrofitted into an existing property without the major disruption, specialist control cabling or extensive building work required by some other systems.
Because the installation remains based around conventional electrical wiring, it can also be altered or returned to a standard switching arrangement in the future if required. This gives homeowners greater flexibility and avoids leaving the property dependent on a highly specialised system.
Lightwave uses its Link Plus hub rather than requiring a dedicated on-site computer or physical server.
There is therefore no specialist server to maintain, update or repair. The system’s local controls and programmed automations continue to operate even if the internet connection is temporarily unavailable, while online access, notifications and remote control resume once the connection is restored.
